ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE IN HONOUR OF ST. FINBARR
The annual pilgrimage in honour of St. Finbarr to Gougane Barra will take place on Sunday 25th September (Feast Day of St. Finbarr). Rosary will be recited at 2.30pm and Mass will be celebrated by Most Rev. Fintan Gavin, Bishop of Cork and Ross at 3pm. This year marks the 120th anniversary of the dedication of St. Finbarr’s Oratory, Gougane Barra.

CONNECT 2
Almost 100 young people, aged between 18 to 35, from all over the Diocese, gathered in UCC in May for the CONNECT event.  It was a wonderful day of great joy.  The Diocese is delighted to announce that CONNECT 2 will take place in UCC, on Sunday October 16th from 10.30am. Please save the date.

FRIARY CHURCH CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT
The Friary Church will be closed from Monday 23rd May for necessary refurbishment. Holy Mass will be celebrated at the normal times each day in the Friary Meeting Room.

THE FAMILY CARER SUPPORT PROJECT
(in partnership with HSE and with funding from ReThink Ireland)
The Family Carer Support Project’s aim is to enhance the wellbeing of Family Carers of older people in Cork & Kerry, by offering the opportunity to work with the Carer Wellbeing Manager, Lynne Dennehy.  Lynne will work with the Family Carer to find out what their needs are, and to develop an action plan to support the Family Carer to meet them.  No question or problem is too big or too small.

A free phone call service for older people who are living alone and perhaps feeling lonely, isolated or vulnerable.
